After days away from social networks, Anitta clarified the disappearance and announced a new direction in her career: a contract with the Republic Records label.
The singer confirmed the news, which had already been revealed by Variety last week, on her social networks. The new label takes care of the career of celebrities like Taylor Swift, Post Malone, Drake and Nicki Minaj.
“Starting a new chapter in my life. I’m so grateful for everything that’s been happening these past few days. I’m ready to, together with Republic Records and Universal Music, make history as one big family,” she wrote.
On Twitter, the Brazilian said that she is working frantically, as she hasn’t done “for a while”, and that she has many things planned for her fans.

Before signing with Republic Records, Anitta left Warner Music after 11 years of partnership. The artist was dissatisfied with the release strategy of her recent works.
