DOGE Volunteer Credits Trump for Success in Curbing Government Waste
A volunteer from the U.S. Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) has praised President Donald Trump for the agency’s achievements in reducing government waste. Antonio Gracias, a member of the Elon Musk-led team, revealed that they had uncovered “jaw-dropping” fraud in the Social Security system. Gracias emphasized that none of this would have been possible without President Trump’s support and courage.
President Trump’s Executive Order Breaks Barriers
Gracias highlighted that President Trump’s executive order was a game-changer. This order allowed different government agencies to communicate and share information with each other, unlike anything that had been done before. By connecting various databases, the team was able to analyze data from the benefit system to voting records, revealing the extent of the fraud. Gracias commended President Trump’s courage in enabling this unprecedented collaboration.
Musk and Gracias Expose Noncitizens’ Involvement in Social Security Fraud
During a get-out-the-vote rally in Wisconsin, Musk and Gracias unveiled shocking findings regarding noncitizens and Social Security numbers. They presented a chart demonstrating a consistent year-over-year increase, with over 2 million noncitizens receiving Social Security numbers in FY 2024. They discovered that millions of noncitizens had obtained Social Security numbers during former President Joe Biden’s administration.
Fraudulent Social Security Numbers and Voter Rolls Connection
Gracias revealed that around five million noncitizens had entered the country illegally and obtained Social Security numbers, allowing them access to benefit programs. The team then investigated if these individuals were also on the voter rolls and discovered thousands of them registered to vote in certain cooperative states. Gracias emphasized that many of them had indeed cast their votes.
Medicare Benefits Obtained with Fraudulent Social Security Numbers
DOGE confirmed that 1.3 million individuals with fraudulent Social Security numbers were also receiving Medicare benefits. This further exposed the extent of the fraud and the impact it had on taxpayers.
Billions Saved from Social Security Fraud
When asked about the amount of money saved from Social Security fraud alone, Gracias estimated that it was in the billions. He highlighted one instance where fraud on the phone lines alone amounted to approximately $1.5 billion. Considering the overall impact on Social Security, Gracias believed that the savings exceeded $10 billion.
DOGE’s Efforts to Combat Fraud
In addition to their investigations, DOGE has taken action to combat fraud in the Social Security system. They recently removed approximately 7 million Social Security accounts belonging to individuals listed as over 120 years old. The agency also discovered that the Social Security database contained records of 20 million deceased individuals marked as alive.
The work of DOGE and the revelations made by Musk and Gracias have shed light on the extent of fraud in the Social Security system. Their efforts, supported by President Trump’s executive order, have resulted in significant savings for American taxpayers.
