group conquered Neymar and ended up in 'Travessia'

You’ve probably heard the song “Na rebolada” and seen friends dancing to the sound of “it’s just you clap your palm, turn your back and rebolada” on social networks. That’s because the song by Os Quebradeiras went viral on the networks and even ended up in “Travessia”.

In the plot written by Glória Perez, the character Silene (played by actress Aoxi) shows Nunes (Orá Figueiredo) a new dance. Thus, friends Gustavinho (17 years old), RK (18), Zelé (19) and LC (23) ended up in prime time on TV Globo.

“Forget everything, my brother, it was great. I was very happy. It’s rare for music to be played on television like this, even more so a funk”, says Gustavo, excited, about hearing the song recorded in collaboration with DJ Zullu in the 9 o’clock soap opera.

“When it rang, my mother was watching Netflix, I took Netflix away from her, put it on Globo. She screamed and everyone screamed. Everyone was happy”, recalls RK.

Formed by the four friends of Fonseca, in the North Zone of Niterói, in the metropolitan region of Rio, the group has already conquered names like L7NNON, Ludmilla, Lexa, Mel Maia, Virginia Fonseca, Anitta and even the ace Neymar. When the football star danced to their song, they became the sensation of the moment and received several messages on social networks.

in conversation with splash, straight from the studio where the hit “Na Rebolada” was born, they say that it took them about ten minutes to create the little dance and the lyrics of the song. But how is it possible to create success so quickly?

They say it’s a secret, but they don’t hide that a new hit by the group is born out of the spontaneity and improvisation of the meetings between them, whether in the studio or at one of their homes. Restless, it’s hard for them to sit still while giving the interview.

Today, “Na Rebolada” has more than a billion mentions on TikTok and more than 17 million plays on Spotify – it even appeared in the TOP 100 of the most listened to songs in Brazil on the platform. The official video with DJ Zullu has almost a million views on YouTube.

Success is still a new factor for young people, but they do not deny that they are happy with the visibility they are gaining. The friends have known each other for years, have been dancing together for about four years, but have been serious about their career in funk since the end of last year. With a short artistic trajectory, they credit God with their success.

“Our name came up after an event. It was me (RK), Zelé and Lucas. Lucas already carried the name ‘LC Quebradeira’ for a while, we talked, ‘ah, let’s make a group’ and that name stuck Gustavo used to dance solo, but a little while passed and he joined the group. As soon as he arrived, our routine began of going to the studio to make music, create dance… We’re up to now”, says RK.

“The first time the four of us were together was at Espaço Hall (a venue in the West Zone of Rio). In the past, we were just dancers. We were invited to launch the passinho at a DJ show. on a big stage. From then on, it was the four of us forever”, he adds.

All have always been close to dance and funk, so much so that they have been exploring dances on their own profiles on social networks for years and profiting as digital influencers — together, they have more than a million followers on Instagram alone.

Only Gustavinho wasn’t into musical style. Influenced by the family that came from the interior, he preferred the sertanejo. But there was no help: when LC showed him the beat, he fell in love too.

“My mother didn’t like me listening to funk because I used profanity. I went to listen to it when I was old, when I was 12 or 13. Nowadays, everyone (in my family) likes it and supports it. Our funk show is different, no it’s forbidden. You can listen to it at a family party”, Gustavinho thinks.

“Carnival Hit”

And they don’t stop! The boys from Os Quebradeiras recently released “Pagodão do Birimbola (Tchubirabirom)”. In partnership with the music producer Machadez and the record label Mousik, the group unites funk and axé in a reinterpretation of the 2010 success of the group Parangolé.

“It will be the hit of Carnival”, believes LC, who celebrates the performance of the new hit on TikTok. On this platform alone, more than 30,000 videos were created with the song in just 48 hours.

And they dream far. on stage with splash, imagined how they imagine themselves in the coming years. “Imagine Os Quebradeiras and Chris Brown. Collaborating with Justin Bieber. Becoming a dancer for Rihanna, Beyoncé… I imagine myself doing well financially, giving my mother a house, really… The very basic things really. Peaceful with life” , thinks RK

“I imagine myself with a Camaro, a Porsche, living in São Paulo, in Guarujá, having a drink with ten women by my side”, says Gustavinho, laughing. “I imagine myself in the United States,” says LC. “Living in Portugal, straight talk”, thinks Zelé.
