It seems that the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) should earn a new star. Harrison Ford (Indiana Jones) could join the cast of Captain America: New World Order to be the General Thunderbolt Ross. William Hurtwho previously played the character, passed away this year.
The revelation came through journalist Jeff Sneider on The Hot Mic With John Rocha and Jeff Sneider and SlashFilm independently confirmed. For now, Marvel has not commented on the information.
New World Order will be the fourth film for the American hero and the first for Sam Wilson as Captain America. During D23, it was revealed the return of Tim Blake Nelson as the villain The Leader, a character he played in The Incredible Hulk. At the event, the actor known for Watchmen spoke about returning to the MCU: “I’m delighted, it’s an honor to be back, because Marvel is part of the history of cinema”.
The film is scheduled for release on May 3, 2024.
