The singer Manu Gavassi performed today in São Paulo, at the GRLS Festival. With a predominantly female band, the singer performed songs by the Queen of Rock and enlivened the audience.
A splash, Manu said that Rita Lee is her inspiration as a woman. On stage, she recalled hits like “Lança Perfume” and Ovelha Negra”.
Recently, on Sunday with Huck (Globo), Manu talked about “Fruto Proibido”, a show where he reproduces Rita’s repertoire. According to her, the project has been a dream, as she has been a fan of Rita Lee since she was a little girl.
“For me it was a dream, I’ve been a fan of Rita since I was born, my parents were very fans, but I think I rediscovered myself as a fan when I read her autobiography. me was very impactful. And then I understood that she was a very unique artist in our country. There really is only one Rita Lee. Everything she did goes far beyond being a singer, being a performer, being a songwriter . She has always understood the full package of what it was to be an artist,” he explained.
