Mark Cuban Responds to Allegations of Deleting Posts about Vice President Kamala Harris
Mark Cuban, a minority owner of the Dallas Mavericks and a staunch supporter of Vice President Kamala Harris’ presidential campaign, has addressed allegations that he deleted posts about her after she lost to President-elect Donald Trump. Users on X noticed that Cuban had removed posts about his support for Harris and he responded to a post on TikTok about his post deletion.
Deleting Posts and the Wayback Machine
Cuban explained that he has a habit of going back and deleting tweets, not just related to the 2020 and 2016 elections, but also other topics. He suggested that those interested in seeing his deleted posts could use the Wayback Machine, a website that allows users to view archived web pages.
An App to Delete Posts
Cuban also mentioned an app that he helped develop for deleting posts. However, he noted that the app had been closed in 2021, implying that it was no longer available for use.
Strong Criticism of Trump and Mistakes
During the campaign, Cuban came out strongly against Trump, even appearing on “The View” to criticize him. He stated that Trump had never been seen around strong, intelligent women. However, he later admitted that he had made a mistake with those remarks, especially since they came after President Biden made controversial comments about Trump supporters.
Conceding to Trump and Congratulatory Posts
After Trump won the election, Cuban posted a congratulatory message to the president-elect on X. He acknowledged Trump’s victory and also congratulated fellow billionaire Elon Musk. Cuban had previously stated that if Harris did not win, he would be willing to help Trump, as he had done in the past with healthcare and personal protective equipment.
Continued Support and Future Endeavors
Mark Cuban’s support for Vice President Kamala Harris was well-known, and he remains committed to his “America first” approach. Despite the controversy surrounding his deleted posts, Cuban’s actions and statements indicate that he is willing to work with political figures from both sides to achieve common goals.
