New Marvel Studios Series Will Start Over, Says Charlie Cox

Daredevil: Born AgainDaredevil’s solo series that will once again place Charlie Cox (Stardust – The Mystery of the Star) as the protagonist, should be a fresh start for the character’s story, said the actor in an interview with D23. In conversation with the ExtraTV channel (above) Cox was asked if the series will continue the events of the Netflix production:

“My feeling is that – based on the title – it will be a fresh start,” said Matt Murdock’s interpreter. “It will be different. It will have a different tone, different stories, new ideas. Like Kevin [Feige] I said, it’s Season 1, not Season 4. And I think that’s the right way to do it, if you’re going to do it again, do it differently.”

Daredevil: Born Again (or Daredevil: Reborn, in free translation) will have 18 episodes. The announcement was made in San Diego Comic-Con this year for Kevin Feige, during the Marvel panel. The series, destined for Disney+, will premiere in 2024, in the North American spring (that is, between the months of March and June).

Airing between 2015 and 2018 as part of the Marvel-Netflix partnership, the original Daredevil featured Charlie Cox as Matt Murdock and Vincent D’Onofrio like Wilson Fisk. Both actors have already returned to their roles in recent MCU productions. The series was part of an extensive Marvel catalog on Netflix, which also included Luke Cage, Jessica Jones, The Punisher, Iron Fist and Defenders.
